聚焦名詞性從句
[講一講] 同學們在學習和使用名詞性從句時要特別注意以下幾點：
1. 注意連接詞that與what的區別：
that在引導名詞性從句時，只起連接作用，不在從句中作任何成分；what在引導名詞性從句時不僅起連接作用，而且在從句中充當主語、賓語、表語等。如：
see the flags on top of the building? that was what we did this morning. （what作did的邏輯賓語）
what makes this shop different is that it offers more personal services. （what引導主語從句，且在主語從句中作主語）
2. 注意連接詞whether與if的區別：
whether可引導所有的名詞性從句，if一般只能引導賓語從句。在引導賓語從句時兩者常可互換，但介詞后的賓語從句只能用whether引導；此外，whether后可直接用or not, if則不行。如：
the question is whether he will accept our invitation and come to our party. （whether引導表語從句，一般不用if代替）
can you tell me whether or not the train has left? （與or not直接連用，只能用whether）
3. 注意名詞性從句與定語從句的區別：
名詞性從句相當于一個名詞，在句中可以充當主語、賓語、表語等，而定語從句相當于一個形容詞，在句中充當定語。
有些連接詞如that, which, where, when等，既可引導名詞性從句又可引導定語從句；還有些連接詞如what, whatever等，不能引導定語從句。如：
he promised to do everything that he could do to help us out. (that引導定語從句)
he promised to do whatever he could do to help us out. (whatever引導賓語從句)
the coat is still where you have left it. (where引導表語從句)
the coat is still in the room where you have left it. (where引導定語從句)
