situation，state，condition
(1)situation指某一時間由各種情況所造成的“處境”“形勢”。
(2)state指人或事物所處的狀態或狀況，常和condition替用。此外，state還常表示思想、感情、心理等狀態。
(3)condition意為“條件、情況、狀況”，其單數形式指人或物所處的狀態，這時與state意義相近，常可以互換，但condition還常著重指一定原因或條件所造成的狀態，如人的健康狀況、物的完好程度、設備的可用性等，其復數形式指一般籠統的情況。
