[設計說明]作為語言運用部分的閱讀文章，“世界上最有用的禮物清單”通過圖文結合的方式，介紹了一些特殊的禮品，閱讀難度不大。所以只設計了兩個練習來幫助學生理解課文內容。第一個練習是學生快速閱讀后回答問題，第二個練習是仔細閱讀后找出合適的捐贈項目。之后，可以簡單提提文中出現的短語：in need，choose from，及兩個名詞短語sewing machine，trunk library。
