7.one of the reasons why…is that….…••的理由之一是……’eg：
one of the reasons why he left home was that he wanted to travel around the
world.他離家的原因之一是因為他想環球旅行。
用法拓展：the reason why(for which)…is that….…的理由是因為……
thais because…那是因為…… that's why…那是做……的原因。特別提醒：the reason why…is that…這一結構中，表語從句用that不用because表示原因。
考題7 (典型例題 分) the reason he missed the train was he started out late.

考題7點撥：答案為d。此題考查the reason why…is that…“……的原因是因為……”，that不能用because代替.故選d。句意為：“他誤了火車的原因是因為他出門晚了。”

by doing…中by為介詞，可表示方式、方法、手段，通過……。 eg：
he earns his iiving by teachins.他以教書為生。
the six blind men made their living by begging.那六個盲人靠乞討為生。
用法拓展：(1)by doing…通過做……by teaching(speaking.begging，usirig.、.)通過教書(演講，乞討，使用……)
(2)by+n.(名詞前無冠詞)eg：
by mail(fax.radio.telephone…)通過郵寄(傳真，無線電，電話……)
(3)by+n.(表示交通路線，工具的名詞)eg：
by land(train，bus，ship，bike…)通過陸路(火車，汽車，輪船，自行車……)
(4)by+the+n.(表示度量衡的名詞)
by the hour/day/week/month/year/yard/metre…按小時/天/周/月/年/碼/米……eg：
in britain，sugar is sold by the pound，eggs by the dozen and cloth by the yard.在英國，糖按磅賣，雞蛋按打賣，布按碼賣。
特別提醒.by后接交通或通訊方式時，名詞前不用冠詞，若接表示度量衡的名詞時，名詞前面須加冠詞。
