【注意】
① 主語(yǔ)從句的時(shí)態(tài)：不受主句的時(shí)態(tài)影響和限制。
② 引導(dǎo)主語(yǔ)從句連詞有that,whether,who,what,whatever等。
③ 連詞位于句首不能省略。
④ 主語(yǔ)從句大多數(shù)情況下視為單三。
⑤ 為了防止句子頭重腳輕，通常把形式主語(yǔ)it放在主語(yǔ)位置，真正的主語(yǔ)從句擱置于句末。如：it is certain that he will win the match.
(4) …and that’s why we moved into the house on mango street.
that’s why… 那就是為什么…
【例句】that’s why he is late for school.
(5) this was the house papa talked about when he held a lottery ticket…
talked about 過(guò)去分詞做后置定語(yǔ)
【例句】
the glass broken by my son has been swept away. 被我兒子打破的玻璃已經(jīng)掃走了。
hangzhou, known to the nation for its west lake, has changed greatly. 以西湖聞名全國(guó)的杭州已發(fā)生很大變化。
【經(jīng)典例題】
____to go to college,mike spent most of his time in learning english.

【答案】b。該題考過(guò)去分詞短語(yǔ)做原因壯語(yǔ)
因?yàn)閟b be determined to do sth
也就是說(shuō) 句子的邏輯主語(yǔ)與分詞之間是被動(dòng)關(guān)系所以答案是b
(6) but the house on mango street is not the way they told it at all.
the way +定語(yǔ)從句時(shí)，如果way在定語(yǔ)從句中作狀語(yǔ)，則引導(dǎo)詞用that/in which/省略不用。
【例句】
i don't like the way in which/that/ 省略 you speak to me.
(7) mr. chen suggested practising easy designs such as snowflakes.
suggest doing sth. 建議做某事【例句】i suggested going for a walk. 我建議去散步。
(8) our house would ne white with trees around it, a great big yard and grass growing without a fence.

with +名詞+ 介詞短語(yǔ)
we sat on the dry grass with our backs to the wall.
我們坐在干草上背對(duì)著墻。

他枕著胳膊睡著了。
with +名詞+過(guò)去分詞
all the afternoon he worked with the door locked.
整個(gè)下午他都在鎖著門工作。
john painted her sitting in a chair with her hands folded.
約翰給她畫了兩手疊放坐在椅子上的肖像。
with +名詞+ving
with winter coming on, it’s time to buy warm clothes.
隨著冬天的到來(lái)，該到買厚衣服的時(shí)間了。
i won’t be able to go on holiday with my mother being ill.
因?yàn)槲夷赣H有病了我不能去度假了。
tom soon fell asleep with the light still burning.
湯姆很快就睡著了，燈還亮。
with +名詞+不定式
i can’t go out with all these dishes to wash.
因?yàn)橐⒈P子，我不能出去。
