白種人又稱歐亞人種或高加索人種，是世界上人口最多的人種，占世界總?cè)丝诘?4%左右。其特征是膚色淺淡；柔軟波狀的頭發(fā)，頭發(fā)顏色分為金發(fā)、紅發(fā)、天然白發(fā)（較少見出現(xiàn)在北歐）、棕發(fā)、黑發(fā)；眼色碧藍(lán)、碧綠或棕色；毛發(fā)較濃密；顴骨不高突；顎骨較平；鼻子窄而高；唇薄或適中。它們?cè)谌澜绶植驾^廣泛。其主要集中分布地方是歐洲，西亞、非洲北部以及北美洲、大洋洲、南美洲各國中白人比例最高的國家是阿根廷。世界上還有很多民族是歐羅巴的混血民族，占有一定的歐羅巴血統(tǒng)，比如亞洲的圖蘭人種（哈薩克、維吾爾、塔吉克等）。
