this class we are going to learn the first lesson. 今天我們學習第一課。
adv. 首先，最初。用作狀語，修飾動詞或句子。
let the old man go first. 讓老人先走。
adj. 最初的，首先的
the first thing to us is to learn english well.對我們來說首要的事是學好英語。
2.（1）kind 常用作名詞，表示“種，類”表示一個種類的用kind of +名詞，名詞一般用單數，名詞前不加冠詞.
—what kind of movie do you like? — i like action movies.
—你喜歡哪種電影？ —動作片。
what kind of fruit do you want? 你想要哪種水果？
a kind of 一種 all kinds of 各種各樣的
many kinds of 很多種類的 different kinds of 不同種類的
（2）kind 用作形容詞，表示親切的，和藹的
the teacher is very kind to us. 老師對我們很好。
（3）kind of 有點，稍微 相當于副詞，修飾形容詞或動詞。
the monkey is kind of smart. 這只猴子有點聰明。
i kind of like him. 我有幾分喜歡他。
3. other (1) 用作形容詞，“其他的，另外的”
what other animals do you like ? 你還喜歡什么其他的動物？
can you see other girls? 你能看見其他的女孩嗎？
（2）other 用作代詞 在“one …the other…”結構中，指兩個中的另一個。
i have two pens, one is black, the other is white.
我有兩支筆，一支是黑色的，另一支是白色的。
i can’t find the other shoe. 我找不到另一只鞋。
4. friendly 友好的 be friendly to sb. =be kind to sb. 對某人友好
be friendly with sb. 和某人關系好
the teacher is friendly to the students. 老師對學生很友好。
the children here are friendly with each other. 這里的孩子相互友愛。
5. sleep v. 睡覺
we sleep eight hours every day. 我們每天睡八小時。
sleep 指睡，睡著的全過程
go to bed 強調動作，不含睡著之意。
i like going to bed early, but sometimes i can’t sleep.
我喜歡早點上床休息，但有時不能入睡。
