 play the tape and ask the students to listen. then ask them to open the book and read after the tape. pay attention to the intonation.

 listen and practice( no.2 on page 41)
 1. play the tape and get the students to listen to the tape and read after the tape. make sure the students understand the dialogue.
2.teacher show the pictures to the students and get them to make the sentences like the model:
    1) small/foot  big/hand
      is the foot big or small?  it’s small.
      is the hand big or small?  it’s big.
    2) new/bike  old/car
       is the bike new or old?  it’s new.
 is the car new or old?  it’s old.
    …
  3. students can make the dialogue with their partners. then come to the blackboard and act for the class.
