3.from liu yun and sarah’s math test, guide ss to know the meaning of “ passed the math test”and “failed the math test” and try to discuss the emotion of them after the test. guide ss to give some suggestions to sarah, help her pass the math test. t shows a plane ticket, guide ss to learn “ going on a big trip”. t shows different places, guide ss to choose their favourite places and express “i am going to …i am going on a big/small trip.” from this step, ss will master the phrases “going on a big trip”, “passed/failed the math test.”
4.in this step, ss will play a game. they can write their emotion and reasons on the paper, and draw different mouths on the picture. ss can show the pictures and practise in pairs: look at my picture, how do i feel? you look so.. yes, because i … from this step, ss can use the main sentences in this lesson in the real situation.
5.guide ss to listen to the tape and discuss 4 questions: how does liu yun feel? why? how does sarah feel? why? guide ss to follow the tape and act the dialogue in pairs. after this step, ss can master the dialogue and try to act it.
step3 post-task activities
there is a task for ss, guide ss to help unhappy ss and make friends with them. firstly, ss should master how to communicate with unhappy ss , they can say “what’s your name?/how are you? you look so…”then ss will read the information about unhappy ss and try to give them some suggestions to help them. ss can make a new dialogue in 4-students group. after the task, ss will share a sentence “friendship is the source of happiness.”. from this step, ss can use the main sentences in the real situation, and it can help ss improve their abilities.
