Teaching design for PEP Book8 Unit 2 Part B Let’s Talk
i’m so glad to have this chance to talk about my opinion for unit 2 part b let’s talk. it is the fifth lesson of this unit, we have learned some phrases and sentences about illness, this lesson is talking about emotions. upon this i think the teaching aims are as followings:knowledge aims:1. master the four-skill sentences: how are you? you look so happy. you look sad today.
2.to learn “how are you, liu yun? you look so happy. i’m going on s big trip. i failed the math test. i’m sorry to hear that.”
3. complete let’s try.
ability aims: 1.to use the above-mentioned sentences in the real life.
2.distinguish the different emotions and represent the reasons correctly.
emotion aims: 1.let the student learn to care for the others.
2.rain their ability of co-operation.
important points:
master the sentences and use them in the real life.
difficult points:
1.understand and use the sentences: i’m going to on a big trip. i failed the math test. i’m sorry to hear that.
2.to represent the reasons correctly.

i. warm-up
1. let’s chant
as we know, good begin is half done. a good beginning should create the active atmosphere. so at first i let the ss chant.
2.free talking:
how are you?
how do you feel?
what’s the matter?
how does your father/mother/friend feel today?
(the students answer “fine” , t will say “i’m glad to hear that.”
the ss answer “bad/ sad”, t will say “i’m sorry to hear that. can you tell me why ?”)
it can let ss know the sentence “i’m glad/sorry to hear that.” write the sentence on the bb, let ss read it.

b. listen and number.
c. answer the question about let’s try: how do … feel? why?
