第一課時
教學內容：unit 1 the great wall
學習任務：these postcards are great!
it’s a picture of the great wall .
功 能：
講述關于某個地方或某件事物的情況。
教學過程：
一、 熱身復習：
1、老師熱情的問候學生們，歡迎他們在暑假過后回到學校。
（how are you ,boys and girls?welcome back to school）
2、老師可以詢問學生們在假期里都去了哪些地方，做了哪些事情，有沒有特別有趣的經歷。
（where did you go in summer holiday? what did you do in summer holiday ?have you got interesting things to tell me ?）
3、建議他們通過展示圖片和照片介紹相關的情況，可以使用句型“it’s a picture of ,it’s very .”等。
二、 任務呈現與課文導入：
1、老師從學生的圖片或照片中選取比較典型的并提問：“do you know this place?”引導全班學生自由回答。
2、回答完畢后，老師總結：these photos are great .
出示長城的明信片，復習單詞postcard . 老師問：do you know this place ? 引導學生回答：yes ,it’s the great wall . it’s a picture of the great wall .老師再問：is it long or short ? it’s long .
3、告訴學生：在這個暑假里，daming 去了美國旅游，并在那里經歷了很多有趣的事情。剛到表哥simon家，行李還沒有收拾好，daming 和simon就迫不及待的聊開了。
三、課文教學：
1、將本課的掛圖貼在黑板上，播放錄音，呈現sb活動1，讓學生看書，聽聽daming 和simon 的對話，聽完之后，讓學生說一說：who is simon ? where is daming ? what are they doing ?
2、讓學生打開書，放錄音，學生邊聽邊看書，勾畫出課文中的生詞。 教師講解單詞：
postcard more thousand kilometre million mexico canada
3、再放錄音，讓學生勾出文中的重要信息，引導學生回答以下問題：
（1）明信片上畫的是哪里？ （2） 關于長城、紐約和北京，他們都談了些什么？
4、講解課文重點句型：
1. these postcards are great .
2. it’s a picture of the great wall .
3. how long is the great wall ? it’s about six thousand seven hundred kilometers .
4. how big is beijing ? it has got eight million people .
5、把全班分成兩組，表演對話。
四、課堂練習：
1、全班完成ab練習1。
2、老師帶領學生共同完成sb活動3的游戲。
五、課后作業。
第二課時
教學內容：unit 2 new york is in the east of america .
學習任務：where is new york ? it’s here, in the east .
canada is north of america and mexico is south of america.
功 能： 講述某地的地理位置和相關的基本信息。
