  4、板書生詞，向學生進行適當講解，并帶領學生進行練習。學生掌握單詞后放錄音，讓學生逐句跟讀課文。
  5、讓學生看課本活動2中的插圖，并試著描述圖中有什么。鼓勵學生大膽嘗試。然后放錄音，讓學生仔細聽，并注意對話中所使用的語言。
  6、引導學生回顧并比較there is /there are 的用法。
五、作業：抄寫并背誦一下重點句子。

第二課時
教學內容：unit2  postcards from  china
學習內容：there are lots of bicycles in china .
          there is a very famous river.
功能： 用“there be”句型介紹事物。
教學過程：
一、復習：
  1、向全班問好，請學生做值日報告，報告的主題是介紹自己去過的風景名勝、國家或城市等。
  2、請學生回憶daming and simon的對話，并提出相關的問題：do you remember chinatown from the last unit? where is it? what is it like ?引導學生作出相應回答。
二、任務呈現與課文導入
 1、請學生聽sb unit2活動3的錄音，之后讓學生試著跟讀一遍。要求它們注意重讀的地方。讓學生把書翻到sb unit2 活動3，仔細看書上的句子以及每句話中用黑體標注的地方，比較一下自己剛才跟讀時重音的位置與書上的標注是否一致。老師再放錄音學生邊聽邊看書，認真體會。
  2、讓學生把書翻到sb unit 1 的故事，再聽錄音，試著在daming and simon的對話中勾出需要重讀的音節和單詞，然后有感情的朗讀。
3、老師講解：simon向daming介紹了唐人街，daming也向simon介紹了很多關于中國的情況。去美國時，他給simon帶了很多中國景物的明信片。老師出示活動1中的六幅圖畫，讓學生試著說一說它們分別是什么地方（或上面有些什么）。鼓勵學生回答。問問他們想不想知道如何用英語介紹這些中國的景點和景物，以此引出課文。
三、課文教學：
1、出示sb unit 2 活動1的六張明信片，播放錄音，讓學生認真聽。先讓學生整體聽，鼓勵學生說一說聽到的信息。
 2、再放錄音，讓學生認真聽，在每段后暫停，猜一猜錄音中描述的是哪一幅圖。它們分別是什么地方，并試著回答它們分別位于中國的哪一部分。
