3A Unit 4 Goodbye說課
today i’m going to talk about my plan of teaching part a of unit 4 goodbye, which is from fun with english 3a. in this lesson , we have 4 pictures with 4 different dialogues.they are :
1. get up, david. all right.
2. go to school now, nancy. ok, dad. goodbye.
3. go home now, david.
4. go to bed now, nancy. ok. good night, mum.
since all these dialogues are frequently used during their daily life, ss may have great interest in learning their english expresses. however it’s still difficult for the ss to talk about the sentences freely in one-class time. so my aims of the lesson will be like this:
1. ss can receive and follow my order after listening to the sentences.
2. with the help of the pictures and words, ss can practice the sentences with their partners.
in these two aims, ss’ listening , acting and co-operation skills are developed too.
after talking about the contents and aims of the lesson. i will talk about the methods. teaching english at primary schools aims at students’ basic skills in listening and speaking and their interet in english. so i will design a game to arouse and keep the interest. also, i will have the ss to act the dialogues. this situation-feeling must make them find more happiness in learning english. of course, a cassette recorder and a clock are necessary in this class.
next, i will introduce my procedures
step 1 free talk and revision
at the very beginning of my lesson, i will talk about the days and dates with the ss in order to make them feel more relaxed in the english lesson. the we will practice the numbers since they have learned during the last two periods. meanwhile i will write 6 ,30, 7, 12, 5, 9 these numbers on the bb. later, i will change these numbers into times. and tell ss the way to express the numbers.
step 2 presentation
after learning the time express, i will have the clock to show 6:30. with the time showed to the ss, i will make actions of “get up” and make the ss to guess what i am doing. some smart ss may speak out “get up” quickly. if nobody can ,i will tell them directly. and the next three pictures are presented in the same way. i think the ss can figure out the meanings of the dialogues easily with the help of time and actions.
step 3 practice
1. t makes actions while saying the sentences. ss follow me just like doing morning exercises.
2. game : polly says. i will play the game like this: polly says, “ get up” ss do the action and say “ get up”. if without polly says, ss can’t do anything. this game will make even the absent-minded ss to come back to the class.
3. listen and read. ss listen to tape and follow it.
4. ss work in pairs and act the four pictures. i think the ss must be eager to take the role of father and mother. they feel it’s a fun.
