the lecture notes of section b 1a—2c, unit 4 of book2 ladies and gentlemen, it’s my great pleasure to be here sharing my lesson with you . the content of my lesson is << go for it >> book2 , unit 4, section b 1a---2c. part 1 teaching material analysis (一)status and function the topic of this unit is transportation . it helps students to learn about some kinds of transportation and some traffic rules. this can enable them to pay attention to the signs of traffic and care for each other whenever crossing the roads .furthermore, i’ll ask students to imagine the transportation in the future boldly . it’s a novelty of this lesson . (二)analysis of the students the students in middle school like to show themselves . by completing all kinds of tasks , the students can build up their learning interest and self- confidence . (三) teaching aims and demands: 1. knowledge objects key vocabulary oral practice 2. ability objects listening skill 3. moral objects know about some signs of traffic (四)teaching keys points key vocabulary :bus station , bus stop ,train station , subway station (五)teaching difficult points: oral practice using the target language : talk about how to get to places (using 2 or 3 kinds of transportation ) (六)teaching aids: a recorder ,cai part 2 teaching methods the main instructional aims of learning english is to cultivate students ’ basic abilities of listening ,speaking, reading, and writing and their good sense of the english language . so in this lesson , i ’ll mainly use “ task-based ” teaching method . it offers an opportunity to complete the tasks which can help students to get a better understanding of the key structures of the conversation . what’s more , scene method , communicative teaching method will be needed. part 3 study methods each unit in “go for it ” contains many activities , some of which need to be finished by students independently and some by cooperation , for example , pairwork ,groupwork and games . tha latter can make students be relaxed . they needn’t worry about making mistakes .it can arouse students to think and say what they want to say . part 4 teaching proceduresstep 1 warming – up sing an english song purpose : to attract the students’ attention and to create a relaxed atmosphere. step 2 review 1. look at the trainsportation pictures and identify them: a train , a bus , walk, a subway, a bike , a car, a taxi, a plane ,ect. 2. ask and answer talk about how students get to school and how long it takes. s1: how do you get to school? s2: i get to school by bike.
