（四）連詞使用錯誤：并列句連詞and與but的誤用是歷年高考題中常考的內容。復合句如賓語從句，狀語從句，定語從句中主，從句的連接詞的誤用根據主從句的關系可以發現。
1. my class will be over by then or i will pick you up there. ： 前后兩句的關系是并列關系or應改為：and
2. my grandma was the best cook in the world but could make the most delicious dishes. 前后兩句是并列關系不具有轉折意義but改為：and
3. it doesn’t matter that i would win or not. matter后面的從句是whether…or not結構。that改為：whether
（五）代詞的錯誤使用：代詞的使用錯誤主要出現在代詞（物主代詞，人稱代詞，反身代詞）在句中指代錯誤，做代詞與指代的名詞在數，性別， 以及格上的不一致。例題：
1. the smiths did his best to make me feel at home.
句子的主語the smiths指smith全家，是復數形式，謂語do one’s best 中的one’s作為物主代詞應當和主語一致，his應當改為their.
2. at once i apologized and controlled me at my best till the dinner started.
根據句子意思：我立刻道歉并且盡最大努力控制了自己。control后面的賓語與主語一致，指同一個人，應改為反身代詞myself.
3. there will be more people in the world and most of whom will live longer than people live now.
本句是and 連接的并列句，whom 連接的是定語從句。所以whom應當改為them.
4. the sport teaches us the importance of obedience. each player must obey the captain, who is the leader of the team. and they must not break the rules too often if we want to win the game.
全句是以第一人稱敘述的。所以they根據語境應改為we
（六）冠詞的使用錯誤：冠詞的使用錯誤主要表現在：the / a / an 之間的誤用；缺少冠詞，多余冠詞；這些錯誤通過對句義的理解，特別是句中名詞的意義，運用所學的冠詞的基礎知識就可以發現并正確改正這些 錯誤。
