第一步 檢查作業(yè)
1.(pair work)ask the students to exchange the pictures they draw after class and describe their imaginary aliens clearly and accurately.
2.(group work)ask the students to exchange their answers to the question:
can you think of any problems if you live in an underwater city?
ask them to have a discussion about the problems and the ways to solve the problems in groups. ask the team leaders to make a note and report it to the whole class.
第二步 聽(tīng)、說(shuō)訓(xùn)練 p23 listening and speaking.
1. listen to the tape for the first time to get the general idea and tick the things they hear.
2. listen to the tape for the second time, answer the questions.
3.(pair work)list some questions about what life will be like in your homework in 1000 years’time. try to use the following expressions:
suppose that... i wonder if... is it likely/unlikely...
do you suppose/imagine that...? is it possible that...?
4. ask 3-4 pairs to present their dialogues.

第三步 聽(tīng)力訓(xùn)練
1. listen to the tape for the first time, write down the two problems.
2. listen to the tape again, try to fill in the form in pairs.
3. have a discussion in groups.
第四步 口語(yǔ)訓(xùn)練
wb p60 speaking task. ask them to have a discussion in groups. ask the team leaders to make a note and report it to the whole class. get them to pay attention to the accuracy of their description.
第五步 作業(yè)布置
1. 寫(xiě)作:充分發(fā)揮想象力寫(xiě)一篇短文,描述 1000 年以后一個(gè)高中生一天的學(xué)習(xí)生活。
2. 復(fù)習(xí)本單元所學(xué)知識(shí)。
