點撥：play a role/part in是“動詞＋名詞＋介詞”構成的動詞短語，這類短語有兩個重要考點：
(1)用名詞做主語，用于被動句；
(2)用名詞做先行詞，用于定語從句。類似短語有：make use of, pay attention to等
3. make use of 利用；使用
(教材p.10)so by the 1600’s shakespeare was able to make use of a wider vocabulary than ever before.
歸納拓展：

注意：
這一結構在變為被動結構時（sth be made use of）of不能丟掉
拓展：be of great use很有用   bring/put...to use加以使用
