點撥:play a role/part in是“動詞+名詞+介詞”構成的動詞短語,這類短語有兩個重要考點:
(1)用名詞做主語,用于被動句;
(2)用名詞做先行詞,用于定語從句。類似短語有:make use of, pay attention to等

注意:
這一結構在變為被動結構時(sth be made use of)of不能丟掉
拓展:be of great use很有用 bring/put...to use加以使用
