（2）as well as：也，還，而且

（1）as much as可用來表示：
①“同……一樣多”，as much用于指代或修飾不可數(shù)名詞，其前可加倍數(shù)、分數(shù)等修飾語。

he asked for three times as much money as i offer. 他所要的錢是我所提出的三倍。
②as much as表示“多達……時”，常用在雨量、重量、錢數(shù)等方面，表示總量和單位量的大小。如：
some of the stones weighed as much as 15 tons. 有些石頭達15噸重。
the rain is plentiful, often as much as seventy inches every years. 這兒雨水充足，年降水量多達70英寸。
（2）to make our community better and more beautiful是不定式作目的狀語。as we can后的從句省去了謂語動詞do。
4.creating a new festival may seem like an unusual way to celebrate history and culture, but we are in fact all creating new festivals every year—festivals and holidays are always changing and as we celebrate them we make new history and develop our culture. 創(chuàng)立一個新的節(jié)日也許看起來像是紀念歷史和文化的一種不尋常的方式，但事實上，我們每年都在創(chuàng)造新的節(jié)日——節(jié)假日總在變化，而且當我們慶祝它們的時候我們也創(chuàng)造了新的歷史，并發(fā)展了我們的文化。

it is no use crying over spilt milk. 覆水難收。（本句中it是形式主語，動名詞crying是真正的主語）
（2）seem like：看起來像
動詞seem的用法：
①seem（to be）+形容詞
the strong wind makes the temperature seem lower than it really is. 強風(fēng)使氣溫好像低于實際溫度。
you must do whatever seems right to you. 你應(yīng)該做你認為對的事情。
②seem+動詞不定式
i seem to have lost my key. 我覺得好像丟了鑰匙。
③it seems +that從句
it seems that there is no way out of our difficulty. 我們似乎無法擺脫困境。
it seems that women are more interested in music. 婦女似乎對音樂更有興趣。
