the way people spend their holidays changed a lot from to .
the table shows that a greater number of people spent their holidays traveling abroad in . the rate of (22%) doubled that of (11%). we are sure that the number will increase because with their incomes rising more people can afford the journeys abroad.
at the same time the seaside attracted a lot of people. however the rate slightly dropped from 38% in to 31% in the reason for which lies in the fact that sea water is being polluted. the polluted seaside is likely to drive more visitors away.
the year saw a sharp increase in the number of people who went climbing and camping. the rate in (34%) was more than three times that in (11%). the reason is that more and more people are eager to get close to nature.
