★ 詞義辨析alone & lonely
(1) alone
可以作形容詞和副詞。作形容詞時,在句中充當表語,后置定語或補足語,不可以作前置定語。lonely只能作形容詞。
(2) alone指客觀狀況,意為“單獨的(地)”;lonely描述一種內心感受,意為“孤獨的”,修飾某地方時意為“偏僻的,荒涼的”。
① peter went to school alone, but he didn’t feel lonely.彼得一個人去上學,但他并不感到孤獨。
② she lives alone in a remote village.
她一個人生活在一個偏僻的村子里。
③ after all the guests had gone away, i was alone.
