procedures:
step 1 revision
let students have a competition to dicate the new words,then make sentendces by using the target languag :the relative clauses with that and who. for example:a:i like music that i can sing along with
what about you?b:i disagree with you。i prefer music that has great lyrics。(學生在討論的同時老師可以進行個別指導)
step 2 pre-task
play several different pieces of music,let students say what kind of music they enjoy.then say:you will hear tony and betty are talking about the kinds of music each one likes.listen carefully and check the boxes in the chart.(解釋聽力中要出現的目標語言)

i like songs i can sing along with too。
step 3 listening & speaking
play the recording the first time,students only listen.then play the recording a second tine,students chek the boxes in the chart.after that,let students discuss in a group: what kind of singers do you like? ask several pairs to say their conversations to the class.
step 4 listening
after the students talk about their own preferences, say: now listen to a boy and a girl talk about the music and musicians they like and complete2a and 2b.play the recording.the first time only listen,the second time cirle t or f,and the third time complete the sentence.
step 5 task
“what do you do in your spare time?do you enjoy your spare time? why or why not?” let students talk about it in pairs.the teacher can give students some help:
i often read books in my spare time. i like books that…
i often go shopping in my spare time.i like clothes that…

step 6 listening
now,you will hear two boys talking about some of the things they see in the room .listen carefully and write the three things they talk about. first only listen, a second time fill in the chart. at last, let students write: i like clothes that are unusual.
