unit 4 signs and rules

單元分析(unit analysis)
這個module中有4個單元,本單元rules由學生們的生活引入話題―――遵守交通規則。
教學目標(unit target)
1.知識目標
⑴ learning these words: rule, cross, across, zebra, pavement, sign, match, turn, park
⑵ using imperatives to express prohibitions
⑶ using modal verb ‘can/ can’t/ don’t’ to express prohibitions
⑷ using the present continuous tense to describe an action talking place at the time of speak:
◆ the girl is waiting on the pavement.
2.能力目標:
⑴ using imperatives to give instructions:
◆look right again!
⑵ suing imperatives to express prohibitions:
◆don’t play!
◆you can park your car here.
◆i can’t ride my bicycle here.
⑶ using adverbs to express manner:
◆the boy is walking across the zebra crossing quickly.
⑷ using connectives to show the time relationship between actions:
◆the boy is looking left, then right, then left.
⑸ have the students distinguish the traffic signs
⑹ have the students distinguish ‘cross/ across/ crossing’
◆the girl is running across the zebra crossing
◆the boy is crossing the road.
3.情感目標:
培養學生遵守交通規則的意識,讓學生爭當一個可愛的上海人。
教學建議:(共3課時)
第一課時 (p31)
⑴ 拍攝十字路口的短小錄相,讓學生觀看后指出遵守和不遵守交通規則的現象。
⑵ 引出can/ can’t/ don’t 等祈使句的用法,讓學生了解后并操練。
⑶ 提出問題,讓學生熟練掌握交通規則:
◆when can we cross the road?
where can we cross?
how can we cross the road?
◆when can’t we cross the road?
where can’t we cross?
what can we do when the traffic light is red?
⑷ 當學生對交通規則有大體的了解,并較熟練的掌握時讓學生做role-play.當我們在過馬路時應怎樣正確穿過馬路。
⑸ sing a song.
第二課時 (p32)
⑴ sing the song on p31
⑵ 展示本頁中的圖片,由老師和more able student做示范,導出本頁中的重點:現在進行時及副詞的用法。
⑶ 學生根據圖片,按照ask and answer部分的句型做pair work,并讓學生判斷圖片中的對與錯。
⑷ have students make dialogue
⑸ 情景再現:how do we cross the road?
⑹ 完成書本:how do we cross a road.
第三課時 (p33-34)
⑴ 展示課件:把所有的交通標志置于左邊,交通標志的意思置于右邊。讓學生做配對練習。
⑵ 去掉標志的意思,問學生:what does this sign mean?
⑶ 當學生己熟練掌握每個標志的意思的時候,讓學生做pair work:
what does this sign mean?
⑷ 完成書本中p33 match
⑸ do p34 look and think
本單元的最后有國際音標的學習,預初年級是教會學生們用音標掌握單詞拼寫的好方法,所以在平時的教學課堂中,備課組的老師都非常強調這一點的教學。在這個單元的音標學習,我們又要對學生們強化練習字母及字母組合的發音,備課組老師決定把本冊書中的音標內容進行整合進行綜合教學。在more oral practice中出現的一些知識點,備課組的三位老師都認為可以適當地加以詳細講解,這不僅對學生們掌握今后的新知識點而且對提高學生的日常英語對話都有所幫助。如:how about句型、what time與when的區別、show sb around.
