1.冠詞a和an的區別
表示泛指，“a”用于輔音因素開頭的名詞之前；“an”用于元音開頭的名詞前。
2.可數名詞單、復數的變化
①.一般規則：a.直接加“s”； b.以“s”、“x”、“ch”、“sh”結尾加“es”；
c.以輔音字母加“y”結尾，把“y”變“i”加“es”﹙roof→roofs除外﹚；
d.以“o”結尾，有生命的加“es”，無生命的加“s”
e.以f﹙e﹚結尾，把“f﹙e﹚”變為“ves”
②.特殊情況
a.單復數不一致：child---children man---men woman---women mouse---mice
tooth---teeth foot---feet
b.單復數一致：chinese---chinese japanese---japanese deer--- deer sheep--- sheep
fish---fish
c.只有復數形式：people trousers clothes glasses﹙眼鏡﹚
3.指示代詞：單數this, that ；復數 these, those。
二、要點講評
1.it
指代詞，指代前面所提到的東西或人。
注意：its易與it’s混淆。it’s是it is的縮略式，意思是“它是”，用時要注意以下：
⑴在句首時it’s 和it is 兩者可以通用。
如：it’s(it is) a pen.它是一只鋼筆。
that is a car. it’s an english car.那是一輛車，它是一輛英國車。
⑵作肯定回答時，在yes之后只能用it is，而不能用it’s。
如：is this a pen? 這是只鋼筆嗎？ yes, it is. 是的，它是。
2.what’s this ?
用英語詢問某東西是什么時，常用該句型。句中this指代“這個東西”。回答時用it代替this，以避免重復。what is …?,what引出人、物的特殊疑問句，常用于以下情況中：不知某物為何物時；對某物分辨不清時；讓別人猜測某物為何物時。回答時不用yes和no，應用it is…和it’s…直接答出事實。
