7. we know the water becomes vapour. what does the vapour/ cloud/ rain/ water become? 在答題過程中教師不斷指向示意圖,加強學生對become這個單詞的理解。how can the water become vapour? 再次提問對話中的難點。
(評析:通過ppt和教師的肢體語言,向學生形象地展示了how can the water become vapour?的原理。通過what does the vapour/ cloud/ rain/ water become?一系列的問答,讓學生更好地理解了become這個動詞的意義和用法,并對這個單詞的運用也有了更多的體驗。)
8. 快速反應游戲:this is the water cycle. let’s have a game about it. 在男生和女生間展開,隨時對教師where does the rain/cloud/vapour/water come from? what does the vapour/ cloud/ rain/ water become? how can the water become vapour?之類的提問作答,來鞏固對水循環的理解。再請學生幫助教師來提問,進而提高學生對本課問題的注意力,鞏固提問的方式和能力。
(評析:這個活動除了讓學生更進一步地復習水循環的過程,也是讓學生在對come from和become作比較。這既是一個游戲,也是一次小型競賽,學生們非常投入,情緒十分高漲,當男女生比分始終不分上下時,突然有男生提問:how can the vapour become a cloud?,女生作出了精彩的回答:the vapour is very light. it flyes into the sky and becomes the cloud. 女生立即還擊:how can the cloud become rain?男生也成功地接招:the cloud is very heavy, it falls down and becomes the rain. 競爭在此時顯然成了一種動力,同時也看出學生對這個話題的興趣。)

1. 教師指向黑板上的水循環簡易示范圖,向學生介紹這是water cycle. 請學生和自己一起來介紹整個過程 “ the water comes from the clouds. the cloud comes from the vapour. the vapour comes from the water in the stream. the water comes from the rain. the rain ---” 教師換用become來介紹:“the sun shines, the water in the river is very hot. it becomes the vapour. the vapour goes into the sky. it becomes the cloud. the cloud is very heavy. it becomes the rain. the rain drops into the stream and become the water. the sun shines---.”在對水循環順逆兩種示范描述后,請學生上來選擇圖片進行粘貼和畫箭頭后進行整體描述。要求有學生能用become進行順向描述。
(評析:這個環節看似只是重復了前面的句子,但對學生來說確實從語句輸出到語篇輸出的一個飛躍,加上選擇粘貼圖片進行輔助,讓這個活動變得有趣,水循環變得更加生動。雖然用become進行順向描述對不少學生來說還是有難度的,但這讓程度好的學生有了施展才能的機會。)
2. 通過看局部猜圖的形式向學生呈現egg, seed, hen, plant, chick, flower等單詞和圖片,向學生介紹這些圖片是用來介紹animal cycle和plant cycle的,在為學生提供了必要的word bank(lay, sit, eat, sleep, drink, grow, come out---)后,讓學生選擇性粘貼圖片,并用箭頭表示出動物和植物的循環過程,然后進行簡要描述,且同樣要求用順逆兩種方式,。
