(4) 出示課件 teachet says: “look,they are sperm whale’s food. this is a squid, a lobster,a shark.” 板書并利用音節教讀這幾個單詞。
課件呈現魚、鳥、海豹和鯨魚的圖片.
teacher says: “they are killer whale’s food. this is a seal.”板書并教讀單詞seal. teacher says : “the killer whale eats fish,birds,seals and even whales.”板書并領讀單詞even,讓學生猜測even的漢語意思意思。
(設計意圖:本課的生詞量特別大,為了解決這一問題,先是通過對兩條魚的比較,自然的引出新單詞sperm whale 和killer whale ,通過聯系舊知識,讓學生自己猜測本課的新單詞meter和ton, 然后通過圖片的展示,教讀本課的新單詞squid, lobster, shark, seal, 最后幫助學生通過上下文來猜測單詞even的意思,幫助學生掃除下一步閱讀的障礙。)

check the answers together,and explain the meaning of “each up to”, 學生齊讀句子:it’s each up to 20 cm long.然后再個別讀。
課件呈現抹香鯨游到海底的過程,teacher says :look, the sperm whale can dive into the deep cold water .what’s the meaning of “deep”?can you guess?
學生猜測意思,再齊讀句子:can dive into the deep cold water.
課件呈現虎鯨跳出海面的過程。

學生學生猜測意思,再齊讀句子:can jump out of the water.
(設計意圖:讓學生帶著問題對文章進行有針對性的快速閱讀,從整體上來感知短文內容,課件呈現抹香鯨游到海底、虎鯨跳出海面的過程,目的是為了幫助學生理解can dive into the deep cold water 和can jump out of water 的意思。通過閱讀提示,指導學生掌握快速閱讀的技巧。)
