⒉class period: this is the fourth teaching period in unit 6.
⒊explanation of the task:
unit 6 is talking about the knowledge of the nature, such as the water cycle and planting steps. it’s a further study on the students’ daily life based on “pep book 7 unit 5 what does she do”.
“part b let’s learn” is the fourth teaching period in unit 6. students have already studied the water cycle in part a. in this part, they will study the planting steps and four new words—seed, soil, plant and sprout. the main sentences are “… is plant. i have …seeds. i plant the …seeds in the soil. i wait for the sprout.”
⒋situation of students:
the plan is suitable for students learning pep book 7 in grade six. the students in grade six have learned english for three years. they can say and use some words, phrases, sentences and small paragraphs about their daily lives, such as family members, hobby, housework and so on. they can memorize, consider and imagine things better. they already did not satisfy to study of english words and the sentences. they are thirst for obtaining knowledge and willing to express their emotion. and their logical thinking ability has been developing yet.
this lesson is talking about planting. it belongs to the category of general knowledge. at the same time, students in grade six know the simple planting steps. but they don’t know the knowledge about the seed, sprout and soil, such as the five type soils in china. so, they can effectively get more knowledge in these fields from this lesson.

⒊moral object: develop students to love the nature and love the life.
