教學目標：1. 掌握單詞、詞組cousin, always, mean, danger, grass, cage, only, public signs, stay away from … make noise,
       2. 能聽懂、會說、會讀日常交際用語there are a lot of signs here. they mean different things. keep off the grass. be quiet.
重點難點：初步了解掌握句型：what does it/this/that mean? it means you/we must/should/shouldn’t…
教 學 過 程
第一步：重難點突破
t: (ppt 1 顯示課題) hello, boys and girls. nice to meet you.
t: well, let’s start our english lesson of this term, ok?
t: ok. first, let’s play an interesting guessing game.現在我們一起來熱熱身，做一個有趣的游戲。在這個游戲中，請你仔細看老師的動作，猜一猜這些動作分別代表什么意思。回答老師提出的問題： what does this mean? (ppt 2 顯示操練句型)  (指屏幕，重復，慢 )請大聲跟我讀——
如果你猜出來了，就可以回答：it means …(指屏幕，重復，慢 ) 請大聲跟我讀——  好，現在我們就來試一試吧！
t: now watch me carefully. (做一個叫別人過來的手勢) what does this mean?
t: yes! it means ‘ come here”. and what about this one?(做牙疼狀) what does this mean?
t: right! it means ‘ i’ve got a toothache. ‘ now try again. (做跑步狀) what does this mean?
t: clever! it means ‘i’m running. ‘now you can play this game, too. 現在你也可以和同學玩一玩這個游戲，請記住要用的句子是：what does this mean? 和it means …
（活動時間2分鐘）
（學生互問互答，展示游戲問答對話）
s1: (做游泳狀) what does this mean?
s2: it means ’swim”.
s1: (做快速游泳狀) what does this mean?
s2: it means ’swim fast”.
s3: (做停止手勢) what does this mean?
s4: it means ’stop”.
s4: (豎起大拇指) what does this mean?
s3: it means ’great”.

（本步驟設計說明：本節課課文對話生詞較多，對話中反復出現新句型what does it mean? it means… 學生感覺比較陌生，在理解時會產生困難。教師通過此游戲不僅可以活躍課堂氣氛，還可以滲透和幫助學生理解本課新知識，減輕后面學習課文的難度。）
第二步：課文學習
