教材簡析：
本單元是book 3b的總復習單元，側重歸納了第七單元至第十一單元所涉及的語言項目。通過復習，鞏固已學過的英語字母、單詞及日常交際用語。教師可根據學生學習的實際情況，在字母、詞匯和會話三個方面有針對性地復習，把所學的知識有機地聯系起來，提高操練密度，加快操練節奏，增大操練容量，以提高復習課的效率，提高學生綜合運用英語的能力。
通過第七單元至第十一單元的教學，要求學生能聽、說、讀、寫字母ll-zz,字母教學至此全部結束，教師在復習過程中，應向學生強調掌握二十六個英語字母的重要性，要求學生能按字母順序熟練背誦、默寫字母，教師應盡可能采用多種教學手段，激發學生學習字母的興趣，幫助學生扎扎實實地掌握二十六個字母。
第七單元至第十一單元中的單詞分為六類：居室、食品、衣服、球類、樂器和運動項目，復習過程中，可以將新舊單詞相互滾動操練，并有所側重，以鞏固學生對所學單詞的掌握。
教學要求
能按字母的順序背誦aa –zz ,并能熟練地聽、說、讀寫字母aa—zz.
通過復習，能使學生比較熟練地聽、說已學過的單詞。
通過本單元的復習操練，要求學生綜合運用所學的日常交際用語。

教材簡析：
本單元是前五個單元的復習單元，著重歸納了這五個單元的詞匯及日常交際用語。由于學生已有一些英語基礎，教師可以在復習一至五單元的單詞及語言點的同時，復現book 3a中出現的有關詞匯及習慣用語。教師應激發學生的學習興趣幫助學生更好地掌握所學知識。
在前五個單元中，要求學生掌握字母aa-kk。 教學中，教師應采用靈活多樣的教學方法，充分調動學生學習的積極性和主動性，避免分化現象在該階段出現。
本冊教材look and learn板塊中的單詞部分是復現book 3a的同類單詞。復習前，教師可根據學生掌握情況加以區分歸類，復習時力求做到要求明確，重點突出，以便學生牢固掌握單詞。
在前五個單元中，主要安排了有關“確認物品”、“介紹人物”、“詢問時間”、“加減法”等日常交際用語，同時還盡可能地復現了已學過的習慣用語。在復習過程中教師應采用多種方法加強綜合訓練，以提高學生運用語言的能力。
