教具準備 ：
本課課件 及磁帶錄音機。
六、教學過程 step1. free talk:
1.師生用good morning/afternoon. how are you?互相問候。
2.出示課件，看圖片復習學過的單詞（食物類、水果類、職業類、家庭用品類）。
重點復習本課中的復現單詞：a computer, a chair, a bookcase.
3.復習句型：let's go to the library. great! how do we go there? shall we go to thereby bus? ok. 練習"there" ,并書寫。
4. let's sing the song 《the wheels on the bus 》，（出示課件音樂，并在每個地點類單詞圖片出現前播放）。

su yang is twenty mantes younger than su hai（出示詞組twenty minutes）do you want to meet them one day?（出示“one day”）
②指導朗讀出示的詞組。

step 2 presentation
1. listen and write
本部分為一段有關helen在筆友俱樂部征集筆友的對話，要求學生通過聽錄音完成填表練習。
①在學生聽錄音前，教師可先引導他們看練習的引言部分，簡單介紹對話背景，讓他們了解對話主題（at the penfriend club），預測可能聽到的內容，做好心理準備。
②教師可播放全文錄音，鼓勵學生逐步養成整體接受語言材料的習慣。
③根據表格內容師生、生生間采用一問一答形式進行操練。
④指導學生完成填表練習。
⑤教師與學生共同討論練習答案，并分析錯誤原因，找到解決方法。
2.read, think and write.
本部分展示了liu tao寫給peter的信，要求學生在閱讀來信的基礎上幫助peter給liu tao回信，重點訓練了學生的閱讀理解能力和寫作能力。
①教師先引導學生自己閱讀本課的語言材料，理解句子含義。讀時本部分出現的生詞，教師可采取不同的處理方法：可在閱讀前講解，也可啟發學生通過上下文猜測。如單詞finish就可以聯系上下文猜測。
②引導學生分組討論liu tao 的來信和peter的回信，通過問答，如詢問“how old is liu tao?”、“where does he live?”、“does he have any brothers or sisters?”等問題讓學生理解信中內容。
③讓學生仔細觀察并自己總結信件的格式、寫法，包括地址，日期，起首語，結尾問候語的處理方法，注意提醒學生英文書信中的地址書寫要從小到大。
3. think and write
本部分是peter給liu tao的回信，介紹除書信以外的另一種通訊方法e-mail，或稱電子郵件。
①通過問答如who’s peter? where does he live？等讓學生回憶起a部分的一些資料。
②讓學生仔細閱讀f部分有關peter的資料，讓學生加深對peter的了解。
③教師介紹書信以外的一種通訊方法－e-mail。可詢問學生是否有用電子郵件的習慣，鼓勵學生說出新通訊方式的好處與壞處。
④讓學生觀察書中e-mail的格式，引導他們說出與書信的不同之處。
⑤請學生兩人一組完成填空練習。
⑥集體訂正。 ⑦集體朗讀一遍，分組朗讀一遍。
step 3 homework
1、朗讀e、f部分各一遍。
2、熟練背誦a部分對話，并自創對話。
3、模仿e部分，用英語給同學或老師寫一封信。

③教師現場說一物品，兩位學生合作，如：writing paper,請學生快速按照c部分句型編對話。

step 2 presentation
1、因為對話較長，再將a部分分為三部分教學：第一部分為引言部分，第二部分為liu tao向媽媽要一些寫信材料，準備寫信，第三部分為liu tao向媽媽介紹peter的主要情況，并和媽媽討論回信內容。
2、listen to the tape.
3、teach: a penfriend.
①教師出示自己收到的一封信，告訴學生look! here’s a letter from my penfriend,引出單詞a penfriend.
②教師范讀，講解詞義，告訴學生penfriend是合成詞，由單詞pen和單詞friend組成，pen和friend都是以前學過的單詞，pen-friend→penfriend。
③學生齊讀a penfriend。 ④開火車拼讀penfriend。

5、教師用語音直接導入yesterday afternoon, liu tao read about an english boy, peter, in the newspaper. what does liu tao want to do? let’s listen.教師組織學生聽引言部分錄音。
6、聽完錄音后，請學生回答問題，引導學生看圖學習課文。

7、對話第二部分是c部分已學過的句型，可采用鞏固的方式引出新內容。
教師課前將此部分的句子打亂順序寫在卡片上，現將卡片貼于黑板上，請學生四人為一組，共同討論，看哪一組學生可以最先排列好順序，并猜該組成員，每人教讀一句。
