on the phone意為“用電話交談，在通話”，ex:

句中的pay for…意為“為……付款”，pay的過去式為paid, ex:
(1) how much did you that book? 那本書你花了多少錢？
（此處的pay for 相當于 ）
(2) he paid five yuan the book.
=he five yuan on the book.
=the book him five yuan.

一）either 此處為副詞，意為“也”，用于否定句句尾，用逗號與主句隔開。
too和also也表示“也”， 用于肯定句句中， 常用于口語，放在肯定句句尾。ex:
①john can play violin.（用于實義動詞之前）
②he is a teacher.（用在be動詞之后）
③if he doesn’t go, i won’t, .
二）either還可用作代詞，意為“（兩者之中）任何一個”。ex:
i have two pens. you can use either of them.
either you or he can go to the movie, there’s only one ticket.
（此處either用作連詞，either...or…意為“或者……，或者……”，連結兩個主語時，謂語動詞采取就近原則。）

句中的ask(sb.) for (sth.) 意為“向……要……”，ex:
