1.2 lesson 42 welcome to the world of english! 從學習英語的人數、重要性（英語是至少45個國家的官方語言, 是聯合國的工作語言之一）等方面的介紹，使同學們認識到學習英語的必要性。
1.3 lesson 43 write a letter in english! 通過閱讀王梅給筆友jessica寫的一封英文信，學習英文信的寫作。
1.4 lesson 44 say the word 通過這首歌，幫助同學們學習如何讀一些比較難讀的英語單詞。同時，讓同學們討論如何更好地學習英語。
1.5 lesson 45 keep trying! 通過介紹jessica學習英語的方法，使同學們養成勤查字典，多讀，多說的習慣，并且要堅持不懈、持之以恒。
1.6 lesson 46 your future and english 通過介紹幾個與英語有關的職業，讓同學們進一步體會學習英語的重要性。
