教材分析
本課是第14單元的第2課。本課是第四單元第二課，是一節聽力技能課（skills-focus）。本課的話題是interviews（面試），與第一課有一定的聯系。工作面試是中學生比較生疏的話題，因此通過上節一課的問卷調查，學生已找到適合的工作來導入話題，激活學生興趣，同時引導學生深入話題。工作面試是他們將要面臨的重要的事情，因此學生會非常的認真及感興趣。
本課是聽力技能課，教師要指導學生：1）能聽懂工作面試的功能用語，并學習運用。2）能運用taking notes 的聽力策略，從聽力材料中提取中心思想，使用信息網絡圖、關鍵詞和縮略語寫出重要信息，同時，要引導學生關注工作面試的功能用語，模擬面試對話，能夠用making short speeches 的口語策略，用恰當的手勢和聯系副詞清楚地表達觀點，發展學生的語言交際能力。
本課共有兩段聽力材料，計劃按兩課時進行。第一課時聽第一段材料，了解工作面試的功能用語，學習一些和工作面試有關的詞組，并猜測詞匯，預測在工作面試中應該做和不應該做的事情。在聽力過程中關注功能用語，學會使用功能用來進行工作面試，并能根據所提取的信息進行再加工和自主表達。第二課時聽第二段材料，運用聽力策略，學會提取中心思想，使用信息網絡圖、關鍵詞和縮略語寫出重要信息，并關注工作面試的禮貌語氣。
本課詞匯學習的任務重，建議把練習1和2留做預習作業。理解大意后，在課堂中要引導學生關注面試的功能句和具體信息。
