辨析：similar，like與alike
similar指有明顯的共同性質但不完全一致或同一。
like指事物在外貌、性質或特征上非常相似以致區別不開，但并非同一。英語
alike意義同like，但只能作表語。
a similar mistake occurs at the end of the paragraph. 這一段末尾有一個類似的錯誤。like thinking produces like ideas. 相似的思維產生相似的主張。he and his brother are very alike. 他們兄弟倆太相似了。英語
聯想：(派) similar adj. 類似的 similarly adv. 類似地 similarity n. 類似英語

辨析：after all，at all 與 in all英語
after all意思是“終究”“畢竟”。如：① after all, i've nothing to be ashamed of. 說到底，我沒有什么可羞愧的。 ② so you see i was right after all. 因此你知道最后還是我對。③ what harm does it do after all? 它到底有什么害處? ④ after all, he's only six years old. 他畢竟才六歲。
【注】注意: after all與at all和in all的區別。英語
① at all用在否定句中，以加強否定語氣，表示“一點兒也不”“完全沒有”。如：① it will do you no harm at all. 這對你完全沒有害處。② i'm not interested in it at all. 我對這毫無興趣。英語
② at all可用于疑問句、條件句中起強調作用，意為“真的”“竟然”“確實”等。如：① are you going to do it at all?你真的準備這樣做嗎? ② if you want to discuss with me at all, give me a ring. 英語如果你確實想同我商量，可以打個電話給我。英語
③ in all用來表示“總計”。如：① there are four questions in all. 總共有四個問題。② how much is it in all? 總共多少錢?) 英語
