worried about the journey為過去分詞短語在句中充當原因狀語，（＝as i was worried about the journey,）. 過去分詞短語在句中除了充當原因狀語，還常充當時間、條件、伴隨、方式、讓步等狀語。如：
confused by the new surroundings, i was hit by the lack of fresh air.
＝while i was confused by the new surroundings, …. （時間）
even if invited, i won’t go.
＝even if i am invited, …（讓步）
we will not attack unless attacked.
＝we will not attack unless we’re attacked. （條件）
例題：
