一、名詞性從句注意的幾個問題
1.名詞性從句的引導詞有連詞that, whether, if；連接代詞what, which, who, whom, whoever, whatever等；連接副詞where, when, why, how等。
2.名詞性從句中要用陳述句語序。
3.通常賓語從句中的時態要與主句謂語動詞的時態保持一致。
4.主語為名詞reason時，表語從句中的連接詞要用that而不用why或because。
5.有多個that引導的從句時，只有第一個that可以省略；that引導名詞性從句且置于句首時，不能省略。
6.doubt等詞后若是肯定句則用whether或if引導，若是否定句則用that引導。
7.同位語從句之前的名詞多為表示抽象概念的fact, belief, idea, suggestion等，從句說明名詞的具體內容。
二、what和that在名詞性從句中的用法比較
8.what在名詞性從句中可充當主語、賓語或表語，意義上相當于the thing(s) that。引導主語從句時，其謂語動詞的單復數依句意而定。
9.that在名詞性從句中不充當任何成分，只起連接詞的作用，無任何意義。引導主語從句時，常用it作形式主語，謂語動詞用單數。
三、whether和if在名詞性從句中的用法比較
whether和if在賓語從句中一般可以互換，但在以下情況中只能用whether不能用if。
10.引導賓語從句、賓語從句在介詞之后或在discuss后作賓語時。
