●用法拓展
本句中it為形式賓語，不定式短語to make good friends with them作真正的賓語。當不定式或that從句作find的賓語而且后面帶有賓語補足語時，一般用it作形式賓語，把真正的賓語放到賓語補足語的后面。有這種用法的詞除了find外，還有think, make, leave, consider等。
①you may find it hard to accept your illness.
你可能覺得難以接受自己患病。
②i have made it clear that nobody is allowed to smoke here.
我已經講得很清楚，任何人不準在這兒吸煙。
③i think it best that you should stay here.
我想你最好待在這里。
④i leave it to you to judge.
我把它留給你作判斷。
find后面常跟復合賓語，其賓語補足語多為形容詞、非謂語動詞、名詞、介詞短語等，構成“find＋賓語＋賓語補足語”結構。即：find＋sb./sth.＋adj./p. p./n./to do/doing/prep.phrase。

小孩最終被找到了，安全無恙。
②i didn't expect to come home and find him gone.
我沒料到回到家卻發現他已經走了。
③i suddenly found myself running down the street.
我發現自己突然在街上跑了起來。
