his pronunciation is simply terrible. 他的發(fā)音簡(jiǎn)直差透了。
they had simply no shame. 他們簡(jiǎn)直不知羞恥。
（2）simply亦可解釋為“樸素地”、“樸實(shí)地”、“無裝飾地”。
e.g. he is simply dressed. 他衣著樸素。
（3）simply還可作“僅僅，只不過”解，相當(dāng)于only。
e.g. it is simply a question of time. 這只不過是個(gè)時(shí)間問題。
you must believe me simply on my word. 你必須完全照我的話相信我。
it is simply a matter of working hard. 此事只是努力去做的問題。
（4）還可解釋為“簡(jiǎn)單地”、“簡(jiǎn)明地”。
e.g. the cake is made quite simply. 這糕做起來很簡(jiǎn)單。
