e.g. anybody can make mistakes. 任何人都會犯錯誤。
even top students can make mistakes in the exam.
即使優秀學生在考試中也可能會出錯。

so that 在本句中引導了一個“結果”狀語從句
e.g. nothing was heard from him so that we began to wonder if he was dead.
the bus broken down, so that we had to walk.
引導結果狀語從句時可用逗號與主句隔開。
so that還可引導目的狀語從句，從句中常用may/might , can/could等情態動詞
e.g. i hired a boat so that i could go fishing.
he got up early so that he catch the first bus.
as though / as if 仿佛；好像 ，可引導表語從句，也可引導方式狀語從句
e.g. it looks as though you are ill today.
he acted as though nothing had happened. 他表現的若無其事。
he cleared his throat as if to say something. 他清了清嗓子，像要說什么似的。
