1)     the topics: friends and friendship;interpersonal relationships

2)     all the new words and phrases in the unit (omitted)

3)     defferent ways in making friends in different countries (omitted)

2. important to know and do:

1)     functional items: induce ss to practise expressing attitudes,agreement & disagreement and certainty

2)     practise listening , speaking, reading and writing on readings

3. enduring understanding:

1)     direct speech & indirect speech( i )—statement and questions

2)     induce ss to practise writing a describing para of a person they know

3)     reviewing pronounciation and picking out new words and phrases

4)     how to learn english by ourselves,esp.do what we should do before learning the text in class

5)    the most important of all is to do what teacher asks us to do.

1.     period one: introduction and investigation of ss’ english

2.     period two: review english pronounciation and handwriting, and picking out the new words and phrases in the unit.
