1 point out lyric in the box. invite two students to read it to the class.
2 play the tape again. this time students listen and sing. play the tape several times and use the pause button for students to practice the song.

1 invite a student to read the sentences in the first column.
2 ask the students to look at the three faces. the first face refers to not very good, the second face refers to good and the third very good.
3 now please fill in the chart, using the faces to indicate how well you learn in each unit.
allow the students some time to put the faces into the chart.
after that, ask different students, which unit did you find to be the most interesting? which unit did you find to be the most difficult? why? what things do you hope to do in order to improve your english? as the students answer, write some sample answers on the blackboard.
