playing the water and getting wet(弄濕) all over! that's what dai people in yunnan are doing. in mid-april, it's their water-splashing festival（潑水節）. it is usually from april 13th to 15th. water-splashing festival is the new year for dai people. at the festival, dai people decorate their doors with paper cuts and put on their new clothes. they cook delicious food and they eat noodles. some people have a drink. dai people often sing and dance, and they also have a dragon boat race（賽船）. the popular game for dai people is water-splashing. dai people splash water on each other.why? thewater washes away the bad things of the old year and brings good luck for the new year.
