3A Unit 9 On and off Part A說課
3a unit 9 on and off part anow i'm going to talk about my teaching plan for book 3a unit 9 part a
first i'd like to say something about the aims and the content of the lesson:
1 students learn the words: light, tv, door and the useful expressions 'open the...''close the .....','turn on....'and 'turn off...'and the answers 'all right' and 'ok'.
2 develop communicative skills
the second part is my way of teaching .
it should be a student-centred class. the students need to aware they are masters of learning and they have to put language into use. it takes a communicative approach. so the students will be given the best kind of environment of learning and practicing.
the third part is the procedures.
step 1 warm up
i begin the lesson with english song "how are you" to make students feel ease in class. such a kind of opening can bring me close to the students and help set up the atmosphere for language learning.
then show them colorful pictures and real objects to revise the words of unit 7 and unit 8. colorful pictures and real objects are useful visual aids to draw ss' attention and involvement.
step 2 presentation
use the real objects in the classroom to teach the new words 'tv', 'light', 'door' with the sentences ’ look, this is a …’.
then teach the sentences: open/close the door, please. turn on/off the tv/right. for example: what’s this in english? it’s a tv. oh, this is a tv. turn on the tv, please. thank you. it’s 9 o’clock. please go to bed. turn off the tv, please. practise reading and saying the words and the sentences.
after ss learning the words and the sentences, t plays the tape of this part, ask ss to repeat after the tape. listening comprehension is also trained at this stage. read the dialogue in different roles.
step 3 practice
there are 2 different levels of practice.
at first ss read the words and sentences in different ways. i show them some pictures and they can say the sentence while looking at the pictures. make sure ss can say all the sentences. it is the preparation for the next step.
then practice in group, read the dialogues with their partners. at that time they cannot only practice sentences but also can help each other. and i help the students who need my help. this is to encourage ss' participation in class and to make sure every student have the chance to practice to put the language into use.
practice the sentence patterns with tpr and expand the knowledge. teach them to say 'open the book/pencil’ etc.
