1.—when is your birthday? 你的生日是哪一天?
—my birthday is november 11th. 11月11日。
⑴疑問詞when引導的特殊疑問句用來表示“什么時候”,即對時間提問。其結構為: when+一般疑問句。如:
—when do you play football? 你什么時候踢足球?
—in the afternoon.下午。
⑵11th 是序數(shù)詞eleventh的簡寫形式,此句中 11th用來表示日期,注意 november 11th 可以讀作november the eleventh/the eleventh of november/(us) november eleventh。
2.—what year were you born? 我出生在哪一年?
—i was born in…我出生在……
⑴句中的was, were 分別是動詞be的過去式的單復數(shù)形式,它表示句中謂語動詞的動作發(fā)生在過去。born 是動詞bear 的過去分詞,was/were born… 通常譯作“…… 出生于(在)……”。
⑵in后面加年份或月份。如:in 在XX年 in may在5月
3.how old are you? 你多大了?
在談論歲數(shù)、年紀大小時,一般用old 或young 。“how old are you?”這一問句問的是“你多大了?”或“你多大年齡了?”,“how old”是“多少歲,多大年齡”。回答這一問句最簡單的方法是在“ i’m ”后面加一個數(shù)就可表示年齡了。例如“我11歲了”,可以說“i’m eleven.”如:
—how old are you? 你幾歲了。
—i’m twelve. 我12歲了。
若精確到月份,則說i’m…years and …months old.
4.what events do you have at your school? 你們學校里有什么活動嗎?
(1)此句是特殊疑問詞what+被限定修飾的名詞+一般疑問句形式。如:
what class are you in? 你在哪一班?
⑵event意為“重要事件(活動)”或“比賽項目”。
⑶at后面可加表示地點的名詞,in也可以加表示地點的名詞,但at通常接station,school,village等表示小范圍的地點名詞,而in后面一般接國家、城市等表示大范圍的地點名詞。如:

5.it’s in april. 在四月。
在某月,用介詞in,注意月份前不加冠詞。若說在四月一日,則說on april 1st. april fool’s day/all fools’day 1 april愚人節(jié)(4月1日);april fool(4月1日愚人節(jié))受愚弄的人。

英語日期的表示法
英語中月份和星期名稱都是專有名詞,它們的首字母必須大寫,并且前面無需用冠詞。
用英語表示日期,其順序為“月+日+年”,日和年之間需用逗號隔開。如:august 2nd,(XX年8月2日)。也可以用“日+月+年”來表示。如:10th may,(XX年5月10日)。
英語日期前介詞的使用:若指在哪一年或哪一月,則用介詞in,若具體到某一天,則需用介詞on。如:

she was born on 2nd august, 1989.
一至十二月份的名稱可以縮寫為前三個字母,但september需縮寫為前四個字母。如:january(jan.) september(sept.)
