▲agreement此處作可數名詞,意為“協議”,常與arrive,reach,keep,break,make,sign等動詞連用。如: ① the two countries signed an agreement on nuclear weapons.兩國簽訂了一項關于核武器的協議。② i'm sorry you couldn't arrive at an agreement. 很遺憾你們不能達成協議。③ many agreements have been made between the two countries. 兩國之間簽訂了很多協議。
【注】agreement可以后接不定式或從句表示agreement的內容作定語 ① we reached an agreement with them to cooperate fully at all time. 我們與他們達成在任何情況下都合作的協議。② the negotiators came to an agreement that all troops would be withdrawn. 談判者達成協議,撤出所有部隊。
【注】 agreement可用作不可數名詞,意為“意見(或目的等)”“一致”“同意”。如: ① the two sides failed to reach agreement. 雙方未能達成共識。② we are in agreement with their decision. 我們同意他們的決定。③ we are in full agreement with them on all points. 在所有方面我們和他們看法完全一致。④ there's little agreement as to what our policies should be. 關于我們該采取什么政策,意見很不一致。⑤ we have to get their agreement before we go ahead with the plan. 在進行這項計劃之前,我們必須得到他們的同意。

* while conj. 在……的同時,當……的時候
(1) while與延續性動詞連用,而when既可與延續性動詞也可與終止性動詞連用。
(2) 表示一個人的兩個動作交替或同時進行時,多用as表示“一邊……,一邊……”;when很少用于這種情況。
(3) 當表示兩個同步發展的情況時,多用as而不用when或while。
(4) 當表示兩個短促行為或事件幾乎同時發生時,用as要多于用when。
(5) while用作并列連詞,連接一個并列句,意為“而,卻”,表示前后意義上的對比和轉折。
