opened in 1987是非限制性過去分詞短語作定語，說明、解釋公園的有關情況，可以放在句首、句中、句尾。它相當于一個非限制性定語從句：which was opened to the public in 1987.
例如：lu xun ’s real name is zhou shuren , known as a writer.
魯迅，著名的作家，其真正的名字是周樹人。
