[析] once用來談論過去的事情,而不能談論未來。如果要談及未來要用one day, some time等。

[析] 英語中一次應用once而不用one time,二次要用twice而不用two times.

[析] 一般物主代詞之后不用one,除非one前有修飾詞,如my old one, 否則要用名詞性物主代詞。

[析] one是句子的主語,其謂語動詞應用單數,而of后面的名詞要用復數名詞。
[誤] one third of the books is sent to the students.

[析] 幾分之幾或百分之幾這一結構用在主語位置,其謂語動詞要與of后面的名詞一致,如two thirds of the work is done.

[析] 要注意open即可用作動詞、名詞,還可以用作形容詞,而close則不同。請看: are the banks closed today?這一句是正確的。

[析] other作形容詞時沒有復數形式,且作為泛指講時沒有定冠詞,如: ask some other eople. 而加定冠詞后為特指。 the other可在句中作主語、賓語或定語,如: now let me show you the other. (賓語) he has two sons. one is a worker, the other is a teacher. (主語) others 只能作代詞,而the others則為特指,如: there are five books. two of them are not good. i like the others.
