review “wh-question” ask : what day is it today? when is your birthday? what do you usually get ?where do you celebrate it? who comes to your party?... get the ss to look at the pics on p49. look! what festival are they getting ready for? (christmas) what does the girl want to buy?(some christmas presents) does she have any money? (no, she doesn’t have any money) write “some and any " on the bb. get the ss to read the dialogue,they can change other things a: i want to borrow some japanese books/christmas cards/… do you have any?
b: no, i don’t have any. ss and answer each other.look and speak

備課札記step2.learn step3 presentationstep4 write look at the chart and help the ss summary the uses of “some,any” tell them the special uses of “some” do you understand the three different kinds of sentences? i’m sure they’re not too hard for you. but don’t forget to read the words in the right box. sometimes, when we want to get the answer “yes”, we can use “some” in question forms. eg:would you like some tea? (i hope you want some tea ) can i have some stamps ?(i hope i can get some stamps) talk with the ss: do you like chinese new year?(yes) why do you like it? (because i can get some money from my parents) where do they always put it? learn the word “packet and a red packet”. help the students answer: they always put some money in the red packets. show me your red packets, please! ok! do you have any money in it? do you know icq? do you like to chat on icq? wendy likes to chat with millie on icq. look, they’re chatting again. get the ss to fill the blanks with some and any. practise reading and acting the dialogue.
