1. i would like to recommend daniel for this year’s youth award.
我想推薦丹尼爾為今年的青少年獎。
（1）recommend 作動詞，意為“推薦”。固定短語 recommend sth to sb 把某物推薦給某人。
舉一反三：（翻譯句子）
他向我推薦了一部很好的電影。

（2）recommend sb for sth推薦某人擔任某職務。
舉一反三：（翻譯句子）
我們愿意推薦丹尼爾，建議授予他今年的青年獎.。

2. lose 作及物動詞，表示“迷失；丟失；迷路 等”。
舉一反三：（翻譯句子）
他總是丟鑰匙。

3.we look forward to hearing from you soon.
我們期待盡快收到你的來信。
(1) .look forward to sth / doing sth .意為“期待，盼望”，to 為介詞，后接動詞ing形式。

(2 ) hear from sb .意為“收到某人來信”。相當于 get/receive(收到) a letter from sb 或 get/receive one’s letter.
