教學內容：unit 2 ben’s birthday   
教材簡析：
“過生日”一直是學生們津津樂道的話題。本單元圍繞“ben的生日”這一主題，從談論生日的具體話題入手，到邀請朋友參加生日聚會，小客人來訪、祝賀、送禮等情節，把有關“詢問日”、“邀請”、“征求意見”等日常交際用語、詞匯和句型有機地結合起來，體現在對話和課文中。本單元既呈現了十分豐富的語言材料，又展示了英語國家“過生日”的文化風俗和習慣。在教學中要根據學生的興趣和需要開展豐富多彩的活動，著重引導學生體會、了解英語國家人們“過生日”的風俗習慣，以培養學生跨文化交際能力。   
教學目標：（知識和能力、過程和方法、情感態度和價值觀）
1、聽懂、會說、會說和會拼寫單詞 a birthday, a date, when, as, a present, march, april, may, june, july.
2、能聽懂、會說和會讀單詞和詞組blow out, a candle, a costume, a doorbell, january, february, august, september, october, november, december, first, second, third, fourth, sixth, twelfth, twentieth, twenty-fist, wait, take off.
3、能聽懂、會說、會說和會寫句型when’s your birthday? my birthday’s on... what would you like as a birthday present? i’d like...
4、能聽懂、會說、會讀日常交際用語和句型my birthday’s coming. would you like to come to my birthday party? would you like a vcd of japanese cartoon, too? let’s wait and see. what date is it today? it’s the 16th of october.
5、了解元音字母組合在單詞中的讀音。
6、能有表情地誦讀歌謠today is my birthday.
7、學習禮貌用語，增強生活的情趣，培養學生熱愛生活、熱愛集體的感情。
