step two: presentation
1. present the patterns “when’s your birthday?” “what would you like as a birthday present?”
2. make dialogues with the partners.
purpose: to present the key structure one by one is much easier for ss to learn and grasp the meanings.
3.set a situation to help ss understand it.
step three: practice
do a survey: divide the whole class into four groups. and each group should finish the printed form by asking and answering the question: “when’s your birthday?” then find out which group finishes faster.
purpose: task-based learning method is used here to develop ss’ ability of communication and also their ability of co-operation will be well trained.
step four: consolidation
ask ss to write the dialogues down and pay attention to the spelling.
step five: homework
1. read the dialogues of part c and make a new dialogue according to the text.
2. do the exercise of the exercise book.
